Many of the books in this library exist because people gave their time so that others could read.

Public-domain libraries and volunteer editors around the world digitise old books, correct their text and make them freely available. We are grateful to every one of them. Their patient work keeps classic literature alive and within reach of any reader.

We prepare each book for reading here, with a clear layout, a cover and a description.
